Trasa R. Bass is an author, poet, and Navy veteran whose personal journey has fueled her passion for storytelling and advocacy. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 27, 1979, she navigated a challenging upbringing marked by family health crises and early responsibilities, experiences which deeply influenced her compassionate and resilient spirit.

Initially attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor on scholarship, Trasa paused her education to support her family, ultimately joining the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After her honorable discharge, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Administration of Justice from Texas Southern University, followed by a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Texas Southern University in 2024. Her professional experiences span various roles, including human resources, veterans' advocacy, and supportive housing case management.

Trasa's creative spark, ignited during her youth through writing short stories, poems, and novels, was rekindled in Houston's vibrant poetry community in 2019. Her deep emotional insight, drawn from overcoming personal adversity, profoundly shapes her writing. She began writing her ambitious 12-book series, "Project Genesis," during a challenging period of nearly a year-long unemployment.

Trasa is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters, with an amazing bonus daughter, who inspire her daily. Her ultimate vision extends beyond literary success; she aims to establish a Mother’s Center dedicated to empowering women through education, counseling, and community support. Trasa currently resides in Houston, continuing to write, inspire, and advocate, driven by her belief in the transformative power of love, resilience, and storytelling.
